26 pages red, black, yellow and blue linocut printed circles and squares on thick paper with spiral binding. Overall patterns are created by using basic geometric shapes, the square and the circle, which diminish and increase in size as you progress through the book; and basic colors, red, blue, and yellow, in combination with black. A solid color page faces each patterned one. All pages are folded and fastened with a spiral binder. This copy with the usual wear and tear of a copy that has been played with from children however expertly repaired.First artist book by Roth.

Portfolio of 18 sheets. black and white with handcut rectangular slots of different sizes, when arranged by viewer yields endless possiblities. This is the first of the series of these famous hand cut books. Published by Edition MAT in 1959 which was the brainchild of Daniel Spoerri and Karl Gerstner. The idea was to take an original art piece from an artist to be reproduced. This is the copy no. 28 with his fingerprint and dated Sept. 60. DR. CW. 20 # 4
