Irving Zucker Art Books was established in 1942, initially catering to advertising artists, typographers, universities, public and private libraries and of course, private collectors. In the late 1950s, Irving Zucker expanded the rare book business to include modern master illustrated books by artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Miro, Chagall, Braque, Rouault, Leger and more.

From 1987-93 Bustamante started a new series, 'Lumières', which are large black and white photographs, silkscreened onto plexiglass, and hung with four metallic hooks which maintain the image at a distance of about 10cm from the wall. The effect obtained is that the image is both projected onto the wall and reflected in the plexiglass - hence disturbing the viewer's vision. The viewer is confronted with an inderterminate space which cannot be focused on properly. In the most recent series 'Aérogrammes'(1997) and 'Panoramas'(1998) the artist begins to explore a similar effect of uncertainty between space and surface - architecture and photography - with monochromatic colours and drawing. Screenprinting on black or white card, 100 unique pieces, 20 on masonite printed y Frank Kicherer. Naturselbstdrucke in 6 parts being: 28 Nature-printed and coloured plates of plants, flowers and leaves; 5 nature-printed and coloured plates of mosses; 5 nature-printed plates of fossils; 10 nature-printed plates of engraved etched stones; 11 nature-printed coloured plates of fabrics (mostly lace) and 2 entitled various but depicting only snake skins. Imp. folio sized portfolio with 61 very beautifully nature-printed plates with wide margins. 59 plates were printed on thick handmade paper dated 1853, but 2 plates are on different paper and dated 1850, these two plates are also nature-printed, but with a somewhat different technique. In an orig. h.calf box with gilt edges.

Clean & tight, illustrated w/12 full page plates, 11 being full color chromo lithographs of dramatic richness, it has many smaller black & white woodcut throughout the text. Freeman 1390; Freeman & Wertheimer 108.   One color plate and 93 documents (reproduced in facsimile in the collotype printing plants of Vigier et Brunissen, Paris) boxed in a green suede-covered box. Numbered 265 of an edition of 300 copies. Signed and dated in orange inside box spine. 13 x 11 x 1”. Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall. 14 x 20.5 inches - A rare portfolio reproducing one hundred plates from Muybridge's monumental work "Animal Locomotion". The plates are high quality half-tone/offset prints on quality matte paper. While the paper used is smaller than the original prints the images themselves very closely match the size of the images of the original prints. Therefore the margins around the images are not as large as the originals. The plates are in fine condition. The portfolio box (green cloth with white label) is worn and rubbed.
Black squares (with Russian, German, and English text) is a compilation of drawings made by Helms' friends, where he had asked them to make a note on the imagination of Malevich's Black Square. This copy is numbered 3 of 391 though this is only one of 20 copies that has been signed by each artist.
